She began her lifelong obsession with crime fiction with the works of Agatha Christie and wrote her college thesis comparing the work of Dorothy Sayers to that of Virginia Wolfe. When she's not writing, Julie spends her time baking, reading, hiking, and hanging out with her family. She resides in the Willamette Valley.
